MATLAB is a product of MathWorks, Inc. and is one of the best tools on the market for signal processing and control systems design (among other things). Check out the The CMU MATLAB Page. It has links to several reference sites, tutorials, and software. The ECE has arranged a deal to distribute MATLAB to the students for free. See Tech Electronics for details.
