This week, integration was the main theme for our group. We also had some individual tasks we had to do to help smoothen the integration.

Carlo’s focused on integrating the range sensor code with Zeyi and Zehong’s work. He also focused on altering the design to improve the feasibility of the sensors. Finally, he has been preparing for the demo and methods to present the sensors in the presentation. To get a more detailed description, please read his weekly update.

Zehong had to address a few problems with the algorithm. There was a grey area that wasn’t accounted for such as edge case scenarios. Zehong was able to improve the algorithm to account for these edge case scenarios. In addition, he focused on making the algorithm more robust and did additional tests to improve the algorithm. Finally, he focused heavily on intergration with Zeyi’s user interface to make sure the final demo will go smoothly. To get a more detailed description, please read his weekly update.

Zeyi has been working with Zehong to integrate the user interface and algorithm. He also added a few functionalities to the user interface and started working on the final presentation. To get a more detailed description, please read his weekly update.

Next week will again be a week focused on integration and further improvements of all three areas of our project. In addition, we will be working on our final presentation and final demo.
