Vivian’s Status Report for 4/30

This week, I mostly worked on the final presentation slides for our final presentation this week. I also made the breath sensor more resistant to humidity by adding some cardboard padding between the user’s mouth and the breath sensor, so hopefully less moisture gets into the breath sensor. From my testing so far, it has been better than the last iteration. I also glued down the buttons in the controller so they don’t move when the user presses them.

My progress is on schedule, I’m just planning to test and adjust until the deadline. We received the other board this week, but because having the board mounted on a breadboard at the end doesn’t affect the feel very much, we’re thinking of keeping it as is to make it easier to upload code fixed onto the board.

Next week, I hope to work with the group to finish up our testing. We have to still test the accuracy of the orientation feedback and breath sensor, as well as the weight of the device and the user survey feel of the device.
