The week of Spring break, our team mainly wanted to get the physical components ready and begin the initial phase of creating our physical portion of our project. This week would be the transition between the planning and initial setup.

We communicated mainly virtually as most of us were not at the same location during spring break.

We also began with setting up our sensor testing.

We felt it was important to start working on the physical components of the project as this would be a crucial step before we can input our code onto the Roomba. To make sure all the components fit correctly, we did the majority of 3D printing during spring break to account errors if they occur.

After coming back for spring break. We were all a bit shocked at the state the US was in.

With classes switching all to virtual classes, we realized the importance of adjusting our project and reestablishing methods to work virtually.

We spent a lot of time meeting via Zoom to find ways to adjust our project to minimize that physical component of the project. After a few meetings and brainstorming sessions, we have decided on 2 different algorithms we can use to create our project.

We will also be focusing more on creating the system for the Autocart rather than the actual cart itself.

The goal is to create a theoretical system where an automatic cart can be linked to the system to use the algorithm, sensor setting and the website.
