This week the team had a few successes on both the hardware and software sides. On the hardware side, all the parts finally arrived so we have been able to solder parts together for the EMG system. On the software side, the mock controller has been helpful in serving as an intermediate workaround to test the game while the hardware is being developed. We are a little behind schedule as we would like to collect data in order to begin work on the signal processing/machine learning side of things.

A challenge we encountered this week was how we will continuously classify the incoming stream of EMG data. The software game is already set up for continuous reading of the streaming data, but something we will have to figure out is how we will do this between the EMG and ML side of things. We added a new metric to our design as well, which is impedance. We plan to require the impedance to be at least 20kOhms, as per medical device specifications.
