In a new age defined by working from home and remote communication, video calls are more essential than ever. However, with only your basic laptop camera or webcam, video calls can feel impersonal and stagnant, and only seem to increase the distance between you and your peers. Our capstone project aims to bring us closer together by making video calls more personal — a smart, motorized camera mechanism that utilizes face detection and acoustic location to vertically and angularly adjust. We’ve designed the iContact to keep the focus on you and your coworkers, friends, or family.
