Introduction and Project Summary

How can we better immerse the remote viewer into a video call? How do we prevent our valued but distant teammate from feeling fear of missing out? How do we bring people closer together through a screen?

Our answer to these questions is the iContact — an agile camera that keeps the focus on you by physically adjusting the camera. iContact is a bi-camera mechanism mounted on a motorized tripod that can locate and point the camera at the current speaker. Other smart cameras might be able to zoom in on faces and follow you around within a limited range, but iContact can pinpoint you at any angle and any height, with its unique joint capabilities of tilting the cameras up, down, and side-to-side, as well as vertically raising and lowering the cameras.

It is time to evolve beyond static camera framing and make the camera work for you. iContact is a project to keep an eye out for 😉
