Currently, the competitors in the market are capable of showing only the path prediction, or only visual effects. Our project focuses on the path prediction, because after working with ball detection using computer vision techniques, we did not have time to implement a consistent method for determining the motion of the balls. This was because when the balls are in motion, the shape of the balls becomes blurred and oval-like, making the Hough Circle detection not work when the balls are moving quickly. This can be improved by modifying the shutter speed of the camera. Our project will also reduce the the overall cost of the system.
