Jayson’s Status Report 02/14/26

This week I focused on designing the driving circuitry for the 555-timer interrupter and resolving the oscillator frequency. After working through several approaches, I settled on a solution that provides a stable oscillator frequency appropriate for the switching requirements of the Musi-Coil. The driving circuitry has been finalized and the interrupter design is now complete. I verified that the control voltage behavior of the 555-timer functions correctly as an amplitude modulator, allowing the audio signal from the 3.5mm jack to properly modulate the output carrier signal. I also reviewed the full interrupter schematic to confirm that the protective capacitor and bias offset components are correctly integrated. Next week I plan to support the transition toward component ordering and assist with any integration concerns as the individual circuit sections are brought together.
