We Started this week by doing a little more research on the current status of video deblurring, and almost giving ourselves a reality check. We found some papers that have researched nearly the same thing we want to do and we realized that we were biting off a little bit more than we could chew. Our original plan of deblurring the video in real time was not likely possible, so we changed some of our requirements so that our task was achievable. This change was reducing the total time it takes us to deblur a single frame from nearly instantaneous to a total of 3 seconds.

Since we’ve just started the project we’ve yet to make any system changes, however a likely change will be how we develop our backend once we become more knowledgeable about how the our components interact (ex: How the video is being given to us from the camera or how we are going to store the video on our SD card). Assuming this change happens at some point it will have been because we learn that what we planned isn’t: feasible, the most efficient way to execute that task, or what we had intended to do when designing that piece of the system. Likely the only cost to the system will be hours worked, unless we find one of our physical components isn’t working out, and to mitigate this going forward is to learn from our mistakes and try to perform better research on that specific component.

We created a new schedule for the entire rest of the semester. We created major tasks to accomplish then we created subtasks for our semester schedule to complete. We incorporated task difficulty to give us an idea of what to expect when doing each task then assigned each task to each team member. So there are no new updates to the schedule however we did finalize our sprint plans.
