Jade Wang’s Weekly Status for 4/3/2021

This week, I worked with Bradley and Jenny to improve our pen tracking algorithm. We tried several methods to ensure the accuracy of the device. However, we ran into issues with the double integration and found that the error was magnified with integration. This week, we will focus on improving the accuracy of the pen calibration.

Also, I worked on the OpenCV aspect of the gesture recognition. Specifically, I worked on isolating the hand from the user. I found some inaccuracy in finding the hand of the user, however this is also something I will focus on this week. I tried multiple methods for isolating the hand with various levels of success. This week, I will work on refining this module and making sure that the gesture recognition works with reasonable accuracy.
