Team Status Report for 3/27

This week the group started to get into integration of the various features of the project, both hardware and software. There is more of a solid understand of our path planning algorithm that Omar has researched. The group also decided to use bevel gears as a means of rotating the arm in two different axis for the arm. There was also progress in the color detection algorithm where Andy was able to run color thresholding and contours for video input. We were unable to start integrating code into the Xavier however because Omar had to leave for Florida due to personal reasons, and could not be present to worth with the Xavier.

Next week, we plan to figure out a way for Omar to SSH into the Xavier so he can run simulations/code onto it. We also plan to begin assembly of the robot with the physical components required for it acquired. This means creating the gripper for texting as well as mounting the various components such as the powerbank and the bases for the arm onto the robot.
