Changes to Design:
- We are now building an autonomous robot that operates on workshop floors to identify color-marked tools that have dropped onto the floor, move to identified objects, and pick them up using a gripper to put into the robots bin.
Significant risks:
- Parts coming late
- Simulate robot data so that we can continue to develop
- Time delay due to parts breaking
- Order extra parts and leave room in budget for more
- Gripper ripping
- Grab only smooth objects
- Gripper not making enough contact when grabbing thin objects
- Use thicker objects
- Robot stability when center of mass shifts due to arm movement
- Use less mass for arm
- Add counter balance
