Project Summary
Smart home devices such as Google Home, Apple Homepod, Amazon Alexa, etc. are now commonly used in our homes. However, functionalities of these devices are mostly limited to voice-input and voice-output. We wanted to expand upon the concept of home automation by adding physical components to the equation.
This project focuses on implementing an intuitive and accessible control of a home-assistant robot. Based on the user’s gesture, the robot will perform assistant tasks to help the user around the house. This robot will be able to :
1. Transport goods around the house
2. Be tele-operated by gestures
3. Save a home location and drive to it
4. Drive to a location the user points to
