Accomplishments this week
- Published web to aws and finished testing on aws (for performance and cost)
- The web is now able to run on aws without Apache, since we cannot figure out what is wrong with Apache
- And currently the MIDI tracking is still running locally because we researched but do not find any instruction for connecting the keyboard with aws, therefore it can only connect to a program running locally and then transfer data with the web on aws
- For the aws server to work, without Apache now, need to ssh into the virtual machine and run the django server first before other users can see the website, and if connection to vm is lost for the server, then all users lose access to the website
- Then, for each user, they need to have the MIDI tracking program running locally and a keyboard that can input MIDI data to the program
- We did testing this week and fixed minor bugs in the web
- Prepared for final presentation
- Finished editing the 12 slides and prepared content for the presentation
- Created new block diagram which looks very different from the last version
- Created a user flow diagram to explain how a user can use our project
- Fixed the slides according to suggestions given by Jens
