Accomplishments this week 

1. Electrical Component
  • Rewrote the hardware code to turn servo and stepper motor code in order
  • Able to do position control on stepper motor in both direction
  • Still working to do position control on servo in both direction

2. CAD Simulation
  • Initiate CAD Simulation by using the motion study animation feature to simulate the stepper motor and servo rotating in order.
  • Because the grabCAD stepper motor and servo part are consisted of too many sub-components, it is extremely slow to render their rotation in VMware. For the demonstration purpose, I redrew the stepper motor and servo with a simpler model and implemented the rotation simulation.
  • The order is M1 lowers shaft, then M2 rotates the wheel to lift page, and finally M3 uses the flipper to flip the page over.
