Abha’s Status Report for Mar 1

This week, I focused on working on the design presentation/report and CADing the robot arm and body. I had a rough CAD for the presentation done. However, there were a few issues with that design as I didn’t have time to finalize it before the presentation slides submission deadline. Some of my time during the week was spent on fixing these issues, such as  and some of my time during the week was spent finalizing the design and fixing the issues with it that I didn’t have time to finalize by last Sunday. I also started CADing the robot body.

In terms of the design presentation/report, I worked on finalizing the presentation early on in the week, and worked on writing the design report.

The third component that I wanted to work on this week was the robot’s displays, but I didn’t get to spend too much time on it because I didn’t take into account the time I would spend this week listening to other teams’ presentations. In addition, since the SD cards for the Raspberry Pis came in this week, I wouldn’t have been able to set up the Raspis and work on the displays earlier on.

My goal for this upcoming week is to set up a Raspi and work on the text and eyes displays. I also want to keep working on the robot body CAD and begin the path planning algorithm for the arms if I have time.
