This week and the ending of last week were crucial towards the development of our project, tasks and schedule. We brainstormed and prepared for the Project Proposal Presentation. We also put together the slides and spent a lot of time discussing and breaking down our schedule. We also were able to pick up an Intel RealSense camera and a Nvidia Jetson from the ECE parts office.
We also made progress on the details of the computer vision aspect of our project. After doing more extensive research, we changed the tasks a little based on how we want to train the model. Serena is working on setting up lidar and Mae found a dataset and wrote a parser for it. Mae is also trying to train the model on the data that she found.
Meghana has been focusing more on the design of the robot and has been researching various designs to design our robot and get prepared for the design presentation. She also started putting together a budget for parts, so they can get ordered asap.
We believe we are on schedule and are making good progress to achieve our end goals.
