Introduction and Project Summary

Our project is a package sorting system for cardboard boxes. Picking up and sorting boxes is a time-consuming, expensive, and inaccurate task. Our goal is to make a scalable system for sorting using a camera/CV and robot arm. Our robot arm will continuously and asynchronously pick up packages and sort them into designated bins based on their QR code labels.  We will write control algorithms to move the arm without any interruptions to the conveyer belt’s spins to maximize throughput.
