Week of Apr 21 – Apr 27

Administrivia

• Had our in lab demo on Wednesday where we showed most of our system works (RFID, car to car one-way IR blast, gameplay and item usage).
• Spent most of Saturday working on the final presentation slides and drafting the poster for the final demo.

Project

This week I was able to complete most of the tasks I had said I was going to do last week:

• Soldered 9/12 IR receiver plates:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

• Soldered circuit boards for IR receivers for cars 2 and 3

• I replaced the camera mount on car one with the new, suspension-less camera mount. Now all three cars have the newer version of the camera mount.
• David cut out the sponges so that we could attach bumpers to cars 2 and 3:

 

 

Scheduling

I will be putting in the same amount of hours this week to prepare for the final demo in May.

Deliverables for Next Week:

1. Finish car 3.
2. Wire management on all cars to make them a little more robust.
3. Potentially make exteriors for the cars (stretch goal)
4. Updated diagrams for IR circuits
