Our Capstone team is composed of Nikolai Lenney, Oscar Ramirez, and Diego Rodriguez. We all share a passion for hardware design as well as old school games consoles. Thus, we came together to design and develop an Nintendo Entertainment System (NES).
Our goal for the project is to be able to load original NES games onto our FPGA board. Then run the game on using our hardware design of the NES. Furthermore, the system will take in user inputs from real NES controllers and display the game via VGA onto a monitor with 640×480 resolution. Most importantly, we want our system to allow users to play and enjoy the classic NES titles as if it were the original NES.
