Playing the piano requires coordination and dexterity in the hands and arms that not everyone has. We plan to create an integrated system that makes composing and playing music more accessible. A user will be able to compose music with their eyes via eye-tracking software, and have that music be sent to a hardware system attached to a piano which can play their composition.
Our plan is for the system to allow for variation in pitch, tempo and note-length. Furthermore, we plan to include commands for reviewing and correcting previous notes in a composition.
