Personal Accomplishments
Most of my time this week went towards working on integrating the signal processing subsystem with the lighting engine. I worked extensively on defining the logic which we will be using to convert signal processing attributes to lighting calls. I collaborated with my teammates on the necessary adjustments and refinements to the lighting logic, and we were able to finalize the lighting effects for our show. I also spent time coming up with metrics to test smaller chunks of the functionality, and helped develop audio tracks for the interim demo. Additionally, I worked on creating documentation for my subsystem, making sure it was well-documented and easy to understand for any future developers who may work on the project.
On Track?
While I was able to meet all my personal deadlines, the overall progress was a little slow this week. This put us a little behind schedule, however, we had accounted for the integration taking longer than expected. I plan on testing the logic more thoroughly over the remainder of the weekend. I have enough runway to continue working on integration, and I will spend some extra time this week to get the project back on track. We seem to have adequate time before interim demo to make any necessary adjustments and ensure everything is functioning properly.
Goals for Next Week
Moving forward, I will continue to collaborate with the team on refining the lighting logic and ensure that all the deliverables for the MVP are completed. We will spend time testing the subsystems independently and in conjunction, and make sure that we can test each function independently and overall. Depending on my progress, I might also get a headstart on integrating the two subsystems with the webapp.
