Yuqi’s Status Reports

Yuqi’s Status report for 4/29

  • What did you personally accomplish this week on the project? Give files or
    photos that demonstrate your progress.

This week I spent most of the time on final presentation. I worked with my teammates to do some tests on our product and finished the slides.

  • Is your progress on schedule or behind? If you are behind, what actions will be
taken to catch up with the project schedule.

I am on schedule.

  • What deliverables do you hope to complete in the next week?

I am hoping to work with my teammates and finished the integration of all parts. I will also prepare for the final demo.

Update on Yuqi’s Status report for 4/22

I meet with Oscar today (As planned in previous status report) and finish the testing of radio+gyro. Here is a Demo Video: Gyro+Radio

Thanks!

  • Is your progress on schedule or behind? If you are behind, what actions will be
taken to catch up with the project schedule.

I am behind schedule. To make up for the progress, I will meet with Oscar tomorrow and fix the radio circuits.

  • What deliverables do you hope to complete in the next week?

I am hoping to test the radio transmitters with gyroscopes. I will also build the glove circuit next week. (might be able to finish it by tomorrow.)

Yuqi’s Status report for 4/8

  • What did you personally accomplish this week on the project?

I finished the radio transmitter code. The receiver can receive data from other transmitters. I will post a video later(on Sunday).

  • Is your progress on schedule or behind? If you are behind, what actions will be
taken to catch up with the project schedule. What deliverables do you hope to complete in the next week?

It is on schedule. I will work with the team and start integration.

  • Now that you are entering into the verification and validation phase of your project, provide a comprehensive update on what tests you have you run or are planning to run. In particular, how will you analyze the anticipated measured results to verify your contribution to the project meets the engineering design requirements or the use case requirements?

Yuqi’s status report for 3/25

  • What did you personally accomplish this week on the project? Give files or
    photos that demonstrate your progress.

This week I continued working on the code of the radio transmitter. I write the codes following the instruction.  The code was complied successfully.

  • Is your progress on schedule or behind? If you are behind, what actions will be
taken to catch up with the project schedule.

I am  behind schedule because the parts arrived late. (for about 2-3 weeks.) I will spend more time to catch up with the schedule.

  • What deliverables do you hope to complete in the next week?

Next week, I will upload the codes to the radio transmitter. If the radio transmitter is good, I will make the circuit of our gloves.

Status Report for March 11th

1, What did you personally accomplish this week on the project?

I wrote the wearable-circuit part of the design report.

While waiting for my orders, I go online and learn the Arduino codes for the radio transmitter. I read the data sheet and the tutorials:

Tutorial 1

Tutorial 2

2,  Is your progress on schedule or behind? If you are behind, whatactions will be taken to catch up to the project schedule? What deliverables do you hope to complete in the next week?

It is behind of schedule. The parts that I ordered on DigiKey before Spring break haven’t arrived. I planned to work on those things during the break.

The radio transmitter and gyroscope have just arrived (from Amazon). Next week I will learn to use the items. I will spend extra time if the DigiKey Order arrives this week.

Status Report for Feb 25

1, What did you personally accomplish this week on the project?

List of items:

    1. Arduino Nano: Amazon $23.99
    2. Tilt Sensor:  DigiKey$17.95
    3. Radio Transmitter:  Amazon $11.99*2
    4. Light Sensor: DigiKey $2.50
    5. Battery: Amazon $13.99
    6. LED: Amazon 100Pcs $5.95

All DigiKey items use Fedex Ground (arrive in 2 days). $6.99

2,  Is your progress on schedule or behind? If you are behind, whatactions will be taken to catch up to the project schedule? What deliverables do you hope to complete in the next week?

It is on schedule. I will learn to use the items (especially the sensors) above after they arrive.

Yuqi’s Status Report for 2/11

1, What did you personally accomplish this week on the project? Give files or photos that demonstrate your progress.

I searched the tilt sensor that will be placed in the wearable sensor and learnt how the sensors work.  I learnt that the tilt sensors measure the tilting position by comparing it to gravity. I chose some of the tilt sensor that we can use in our project:

2,  Is your progress on schedule or behind? If you are behind, what actions will be taken to catch up to the project schedule?

It is on schedule. My concentration is on Circuits and will focus on the circuit designing in the following week.

3, What deliverables do you hope to complete in the next week?

We will do further research on these sensors and choose one. After choosing the sensor, I will design the circuit and learn how to use the sensor. (how to save the data and upload it into Arduino.)
