DriveWise is a device aimed at providing drivers real-time feedback about their driving habits, specifically focusing on their alertness.
The product works by tracking a driver’s face and determining if they are paying enough attention to the road ahead of them. It also can detect if they are exhibiting signs of sleepiness, such as yawning or a reduction in blinking.
We want to create this device such that any driver can easily integrate it into their cars, no matter how old or new. It will also give the driver auditory feedback and transmit their statistics to a web app so they can monitor their progress over time.
We hope to create a robust system that can work in a variety of conditions, such as during the day and night, and with potential obstructions such as sunglasses.
