Elizabeth’s Status Report for 4/22

Progress

This week I and my teammates worked on the final presentation together, and started preparing for the final demo. I ordered some things we would need for our final demo, and participated in planning out the frame we want to use in our demo. And I briefly looked into how to set up SSH on the Raspberry Pi, as I realized we’ll need a monitor to run our project otherwise. Although I haven’t gotten much work done this week, I hope to accomplish more next week.

Schedule

We are roughly on schedule.

Next Steps

The goal for next week is to set up SSH on the Pi, and create a video for the demo. Another thing I kinda still want to do before the demo is downsampling the squares that OpenCV captures, and re-running those images through the Haar cascade again, because I’m still concerned about how it interprets random distant objects as faces, but this is more of a reach goal than a hard goal.
