Chess Teacher is designed to help people learn chess through artificial intelligence. Since the arrival of coronavirus, chess has been an especially hard game to play because it is impossible to social distance when playing a physical chess. Hence, we have provided a way people can play against an artificial intelligence but still feel realistic by playing on a physical board. Not only this, but the chess artificial intelligence allows people to save money through not having to be tutored by someone, but having an artificial intelligence that gives the most optimal move every time.
Chess Teacher is hosted on a chess board with a camera on top of the board. It includes a computer screen next to the chess board for a user to visualize the move of the artificial intelligence. A computer will be connected to the computer screen to allow the computer to recognize the board and a FPGA will also be present in order to validate the moves that the user makes.
