Mitchell Update 3/24 – 3/30
LiDAR sensors working together:
I was able to get all three lidars to send and receive signals with the RaspberyPi with the TTL converter. I crimped the wires for the lidars so they could easily be attached and detached from the TTL USB converter. Then I edited and debugged the simple python scripts to initialize and wr/rd values to/from all three LiDAR sensors. Using a simple round-robin scheme it prints theĀ strength, and distance values to the terminal of all three lidars to the terminal to be able to quickly test all three workings in conjunction.
3D modeled mount printed
Finished the InventorPRO 3d model of our mount – including the specialized angles and mount holes. I was able to print it in the FORM2 printers in the maker space.
Crimps added to sensors and example of how pi will fit into the waist belt
Sensor Mount 3D printed

Demo preparation, using all three lidars in a meaningful way to detect an incoming object
Mount the sensors to the 3d printed mount
