Team status update:
This week’s progress was shorter because of spring break, and it’s slightly behind schedule
Tianhan Hu:
This week I kept on researching on machine learning based approach for hand-detection.
I was a little bit behind schedule due to midterm last week and spring break. Will try to catch up progress in the following weeks.
Xinyu Zhao:
What did you personally accomplish this week on the project? Give files or photos that demonstrate your progress. Prove to the reader that you put sufficient effort into the project over the course of the week (12+ hours).
- Tested another way of collecting information from image/video with the Harris Corner Detector, also tried to extract the coordinates with double raster method after binarizing it. Fixed the problem of program failing when switching to the logitech camera.
Is your progress on schedule or behind? If you are behind, what actions will be taken to catch up to the project schedule?
- It’s somewhat behind schedule, partly because of the spring break, after progress would be more normal.
What deliverables do you hope to complete in the next week?
- Compare between the effectiveness of canny and harris then decide which to use, or maybe use both
