Welcome to Team B5! We are creating the G-Lock which is a home security system that addresses some of the problems users have with the outdated door locking system. The G-Lock aims to provide seamless access to one’s home along with giving residents the means to control access to their home from a remote location. This seamless access is achieved by using machine learning to accurately and quickly capture and recognize the faces of residents. Our system will be controlled by a RaspberryPi that will be connected to cameras, sensors and an electric lock. We also aim to develop an application that will allow the user to remotely control door access and receive important notifications regarding the system. All-together, this system will give the user peace of mind that their home is safe and highly accessible to all residents.
