This week after speaking with Tamal, we decided to pivot away from building a robot from scratch and using an iRobot as a base instead. In the beginning I was struggling with mounting on the iRobot and it being more restricted, but then came around to the idea after more thought. 

 

After pivoting, I needed to reconceptualize the design and figure out what parts to use on a high level. Below is a drawing of the robot from a birds-eye view. 

I am still working on a CAD for this design and hope to have it done by the end of the day Sunday so it is able to go into the design presentation. 

 

I have also been working on researching various parts for the different parts of the robot and adding it to the budget sheet. I will have this budget sheet finalized by Monday morning so it is able to be approved and purchased on Monday. Overall, I feel behind for my tasks and need to pick up the pace once the parts are ordered and arrive.
