ShelfBuddy is an assistive robot that helps users grab objects from shelves. When going grocery shopping, reaching objects on a shelf can be a very difficult task. ShelfBuddy makes grocery shopping an easier and a more accessible process by allowing users to focus on looking for their items.
A user can point to an object on a shelf using a laser pointer, and ShelfBuddy will be able to grab the object from the shelf and place it in the user’s basket.
