This week, the team ordered microgreens and wrapped up a lot of organizational tasks in preparation for a big work week ahead.
We finalized our selection of microgreens – triton radish and waltham broccoli – and made a large order of seeds and other growing supplies at the start of the week. As the team is working remotely from two places, both Greg and Lucas will be getting growing supplies to run separate trials.
We identified the parts of our to-do list that could be worked on first, and which parts were bottlenecked by other parts, in order to finalize our schedule and get some real work done. Our plan going forward is to put orders in and get some CAD models done so that nothing stands in the way of building, fabricating, and coding. Thus, we have selected some parts, and created trade studies for others that we haven’t nailed down yet. In particular, we focused on narrowing down our selection for lights, load cells, and climate sensors. We expect to have those all ordered at the start of the following week.
We are running late on our design report, so we dedicated some time to wrapping that up as well. Unfortunately the team had some schedule complications that got in the way of finalizing the report, but it should be ready within the following week.
