Pablo’s Status Update for 17/10

I worked on setting up a prototype node and currently have one setup that is self powered. I also set up the SPI between the particle Argon and Camera so that they can properly send data back and forth, it should be very soon where I can send a request and can receive and display an image.

I am currently at the point of the schedule as I was last week, focusing on completing more tasks next weekend as my mini ends this week. With my mini out of the way, I should have an additional three hours per week to work on further tasks. The next coming weeks I plan on working in functionality to complete a fully functional image node.

Pablo’s Status Update for 10/10

Not much was accomplished this past week, parts have been very late to arrive and the most important component, the Particle Argon, only arrived a couple days ago. In the meantime, I read documentation about the Argon, and familiarized myself with the camera module since that was the first to arrive.

We are currently behind schedule, me personally and the team as a whole, due to those late deliveries and the fact that the project relies on the image capturing nodes to be set up to continue with training the ML algorithm. My steps to catch up are to put in extra hours to make up for lost time. Luckily we already had a very aggressive timeline, so these delays only put us into meeting the deadline, but we would like to get back to having some breathing room in case anything else happens to arise.

Now that I have the components I need, the deliverables I plan on having complete is a prototype node built out with the camera and Argon properly communicating using SPI.
