Highly-Available, Replicated DNS Server System With Multi-Paxos Implementation

ABSTRACT

We describe our experiences in building highly-available, replicated
DNS Server System using Paxos consensus algorithm. Our focus is on
ensuring consistency among replicated commit logs. We implemented
Multi-Paxos in the system based on Basic Paxos to gain a higher
efficiency. We demonstrate the performance improvement in using Multi-
Paxos in comparison to a system based on Basic Paxos. Our measurement
proves that we have built a strongly consistent system with high
efficiency.
