Hardware Systems Engineering: This course focuses on the design and engineering
of hardware systems. A key goal is to illustrate the differences between
concept and practice in computer engineering through hands-on design
exercises. The core of this course is based on processor design projects
carried out in student teams. Projects will be executed in Verilog and FPGA prototyping. This course requires
substantial independent lab hours outside of the classroom.
Prerequisite:
1) 18-747 or 18-741; 2) experience with Verilog or
VHDL; 3) experience with C or C++
