Progress
This week, we worked on creating our load sensor into a full fledged weight scale. In order to do this, Alvin and Tushita used two wooden boards as platforms to screw the load sensor onto. Now, the load sensor gives us discrete and accurate values when an object is placed on the wooden platform. Ananya worked on getting a preliminary classifier up and running for the trinity sensor network. She trained a Support Vector Machine using dummy data since not all of the data values were specifically available to her yet. Additionally, Alvin, Tushita, and Ananya worked together to build the capacitive sensor using the new parts that we just had delivered to us this week.
Next Week
Next week, we plan to have a full functional sensor box as well as a preliminary classification system.
