Personal Weekly Update | Rita | 4/19

Accomplishments

This week was spent refining the prototype given all the new sensors arrived. I attached them onto the bike, redesigned the housing a couple of times to fit all the electrical hardware along with modifying the hinges, and conducted integration testing with Zoe and Carolyn. There are now 5 sensors on the saddle and 4 on each handlebar for a total of 13 sensors. We then went through and conducted calibration testing along with pedaling to ensure that it is included in the algorithm.

Progress Status

I’ve made quite a bit of progress this week and will spend the remaining of the week working on the presentation to make sure we succeed on either Monday or Wednesday. The final iteration of the housing is being printed and will hopefully not need any additional changes.

Next Steps

The next week will be class final presentations in which I will be evaluating my peers’ projects. Additionally, outside of class I will be finalizing testing in order to have a working prototype along with quantitative data for our demos on April 30th and May 1st.
