Personal Weekly Update | Zoe | 3/15

Accomplishments

This week, I spent time testing the force sensors, experimenting with different circuit configurations to determine which resistance values provided the most reliable data. This was important for ensuring accuracy before moving forward with integration.

I also worked on setting up the Raspberry Pi, preparing the SD card, and testing the camera to confirm it was functioning correctly. Once the Pi was up and running, I focused on data transfer between the Raspberry Pi and ESP32, making sure sensor data could be reliably transmitted. From there, I worked on setting up a web server to pull that data into our app, so it can be accessed and processed as needed.

In addition to the technical work, I also spent time working on the ethics report for next week, making sure we covered key considerations relevant to our project.

Progress Status

We are making steady progress. The force sensors are being refined, and data transmission between the Pi, ESP32, and web server is coming together. Next steps will involve integrating everything into the main system and troubleshooting any inconsistencies.

Next Steps

Next week, I will focus on fully integrating the force sensors with the rest of the system and ensuring that data is consistently transmitted and displayed correctly. I will also finalize work on the ethics report and assist in any additional debugging needed as we move into more advanced testing.
