Team Weekly Update | 3/15
Accomplishments
This week, we worked on the ethics assignment, making sure we addressed key considerations related to our project and how it impacts users. It was a good opportunity to think through potential challenges beyond just the technical aspects.
We also continued testing the force sensors to verify their accuracy and consistency. This was important to confirm that they are providing reliable data before we move on to full integration. While the sensors are functioning as expected, we may need to make small adjustments once everything is connected.
On the software side, we have made progress on adding capabilities for the app to connect and scan data from the ESP32. The next step would be to integrate with the ESP32 to analyze its data, refine models and develop the posture algorithm.
In addition, we started working on the first mounting prototype to test how the components will be secured in place. Making sure everything fits together properly now will help avoid issues later when we begin integration. The initial design gives us a good starting point, but we may need to refine it as we go.
Progress Status
We are on track, but integration needs to happen early next week to make sure all parts work together as expected. Individual components have been tested, but bringing everything together is the next big step. If any issues come up, we will have to troubleshoot quickly to stay on schedule.
Next Steps
Next week, we plan to start full system integration, making sure all hardware components communicate properly and addressing any problems that come up. We will also refine the mounting prototype if needed and start testing the system as a whole. The goal is to identify any weak points early so we have enough time to adjust before moving into final testing.
