Cryptocurrency mining is a rapidly advancing field where power consumption poses a large cost and consequently also poses an environmental concern. Some hardware solutions used by large scale miners are specialized ASIC hardwares, or a more affordable approach with GPU. Our project hopes to take inspiration from this and create a cryptocurrency miner with an FPGA along with an interface where the user can customize different settings to allow for a more specialized, more affordable, and more energy efficient miner.
