18-760: What's New?




	we collect miscellaneous useful stuff that everybody in 760 might need to know. This includes class update info, group projects results, etc. We insert these by date.

	Tuesday 4 Dec 01 See the Assignments page newly updated deadlines: Homework5 and Paper3, now due Mon 17 Dec 6pm. Project3, is still due Fri Dec 14. That's it--all the remaining deadlines and assignments. Tuesday 27 Nov 01 See the Assignments page for updated deadlines: Paper3, Project3, and Homework5 are all out--and this is ALL of the assignments left for the remainder of the semester. Thursday 15 Nov 01 See the Assignments page for updated deadlines, and new info about Project3. Thursday 18 Oct 01 See HW3v3 for final bugfixes in the homework. HW3 deadline is pushed back to Tuesday (23-Oct-01) after mid-sem break. See Lec07bugfix for an update on the algebraic division algorithm of slide 45--two variable names were wrong, tho its probably obvious from the example we did on slide 46. In particular, HW3 due next Thursday (18-Oct-01) so we can get it in before mid-semester break. Also, some low-level bug fixes on Project1-Part2--couple of arcs on a few BDDs node corrected. Tuesday 25 Sep 01 HW2 Problem 8 even more changes -- bug fix in supposedly "better explanation", is out. Tuesday 25 Sep 01 HW2 Problem 8 changes -- new, simpler problem and better explanation, is out.Also, Project 1 (JAVA BDD) Part 2: Primes is out. Thursday 20 Sep 01 Version 2 of Hw2 is out -- it fixes some problems with the Ling adder problem, replacing it with something more "interesting"... Also, Project 1 (JAVA BDD) Part 1 is out. Thursday 13 Sep 01 Due to classes being cancelled, HW1 is now due Fri, 5pm, in Lyz Knight's office HH3107. Thursday 6 Sep 01 Minor bug fix on HW1 -- it's due THURSDAY Sep 13, not WEDNESDAY. Just a calendar date typo. Monday 27 Aug 01 OK, we're up for Fall'01...
