Team F2 : GlowFresh

GlowFresh addresses food waste by focusing on reducing the spoilage of commonly purchased perishable grocery items, such as bread, milk, fruits, and vegetables. Our solution utilizes glowing silicon pads to visually indicate the freshness of stored items. Additionally,  a companion app that links to each silicon mat will indicate the current freshness of perishables and alert users when an item expires. While the ultimate decision to discard food remains with the user, the system acts as an assistant to enhance awareness by targeting the common issue of forgotten items in crowded refrigerators.
