Introduction and Project Summary

The VisionGuard provides real-time navigation assistance with auditory/haptic feedback. The tool aims to address a certain challenge that a visually impaired individual will face: identifying and locating crucial landmarks in an airport. The wearable camera system will use ML-based object detection to identify crucial landmarks, including signs, gate numbers, and escalators. Users will issue voice commands, and the device will respond with directional information.
