Maddie Status Report (4/26)

I spent most of this week being proud of Emma for killing it on the final presentation <33

I spent a lot of time this week working on the things mentioned in the team report that were necessary to get the boat in the water. For me specifically, this included finalizing the mounting for the electronic components that I designed last week. Additionally, I worked on waterproofing the boat alongside Abie and Emma. We also noticed that the weight of the underwater component was dragging the boat down. Unfortunately, we couldn’t remove weight from the box because it’s needed to make it sink. As a result, I spent time this week recutting a smaller box and waterproofing it to hold the camera component. Lots of tape. Lots of liquid latex. Lots of foam. 

Overall, we’re still behind schedule because we didn’t plan to still be working on this at this point soooooooo… but it’s alright, we’re less behind than we were last week. #winning
