Personal Weekly Update | Zoe | 3/8
Accomplishments
Over the past two weeks, I dedicated a significant amount of time to wrapping up major deliverables for our project. I spent **6 hours finalizing the design review slides, making sure they were polished, visually clear, and effectively communicated our design decisions. I also put in 10 hours on the design report, carefully structuring the document, refining technical explanations, and ensuring it met the required depth and clarity.
On the hardware side, I worked on testing the force sensors we have for about 3 hours, verifying their response and accuracy under different conditions, along with refining their code. This was important for ensuring they function properly before integration.
In addition, I spent another 3 hours on last-minute product purchasing and website cleanup, handling administrative tasks to make sure everything was in order before the break. This included making final component orders, reviewing documentation, and tidying up the website to ensure clarity and completeness.
Progress Status
We are on track with our project timeline. The design report and presentation were both completed on time, and sensor testing has started. The next steps will involve refining the force sensor implementation and beginning full system integration.
Next Week’s Goals
Next week, I’ll be focusing on integrating the force sensors into the system and ensuring they work consistently with the rest of the hardware. I’ll also be working on getting the object tracking working properly and picking which camera gives the best view. Additionally, I want to begin early troubleshooting of any hardware/software communication issues before moving into more advanced testing.
