Personal Weekly Update | Zoe | 2/15

Accomplishments

This week, I dedicated significant time to refining our design presentation (8 hours), ensuring it was well-structured, visually cohesive, and backed by solid research. I also contributed to the design report, integrating key technical decisions and supporting documentation.

On the hardware side, I compiled our hardware/embedded Bill of Materials (BOM) and managed the ordering and pickup process (4 hours). This ensures that we have the necessary components ready for integration and testing.

Additionally, I spent 2 hours on Bluetooth testing, working on establishing a reliable data transfer pipeline from the embedded system to a web-based interface. This step is critical for pulling sensor data into the app and verifying our communication protocols.

Progress Status

We are on track with our project timeline. The focus this week was on finalizing the design slides and making critical decisions, ensuring alignment across our team before moving forward with implementation. Having our components in hand also positions us well for upcoming testing phases.

Next Week’s Goals

Next week, we will have mandatory lab time to review and peer-evaluate design presentations. Additionally, I plan to continue testing and refining our Bluetooth data pipeline, ensuring seamless integration with the app. The finalization of the design report will also be a priority, ensuring that all technical and logistical aspects are well-documented before submission.
