Introduction and Project Summary

Our project is a recreation of the WWII Enigma machine, a cipher device used to encrypt communication with codes that were seemingly impossible to break. Deciphering Enigma was one of the biggest challenges in history, leading to major advancements in computing and intelligence. While the original relied on mechanical rotors and electrical circuits, our version will use modern electronics while preserving the look and feel of the original. The goal is to create an interactive educational tool for museums and schools, giving people a hands-on way to understand how the machine worked and why it was so important. By combining historical accuracy with modern technology, we hope to bring this fascinating piece of history to life in an engaging and accessible way.
