Introduction and Project Summary

Plant care can be challenging, particularly for new plant owners lacking the knowledge to take care of their plants effectively. Additionally, people who are frequently away from their plants face problems ensuring they are taken care of in their absence. Factors such as watering schedules, light, temperature, humidity, and nutrient levels significantly impact a plant’s health. These requirements vary widely between species, making proper plant care a complex task. Our capstone project aims to provide plant owners with a comprehensive plant care system that remotely monitors and maintains their plant’s health and growth. Sensors will track light, soil moisture, nutrients, temperature, humidity, and pH. A user interface will provide real-time data, recommendations, live footage, and options for manual or automated responses, enabling users to adjust conditions remotely and ensure optimal plant care.
