CookAR is an augmented reality cooking assistant that displays step-by-step recipe instructions through a lightweight headset. Users can interface with their database of recipes and select one to load to the headset through a web application; after that, control is entirely non-tactile, driven by hand motions instead of press-buttons or vocal commands, so the device is particularly suited to noisy environments where a microphone may not be able to parse commands from background.
